Are you on a mission?

Over the course of the last 30+ days I have been reading books recommended from Danelle Delgado, my coach and mentor.  Although several books have been read, the one I am currently reading/listening to on replay is Grant Cardone’s book The 10X Rule.  Over the next 31 days, I will be taking a deeper look at each of these qualities commonly found in successful people.  Here we go…Be on a Mission.

21.  Be on a Mission
Until you start approaching your job as though you are on a mission, it will always be reduced to “just a job.” You must undertake every activity with the zealous attitude that this endeavor could forever change the world. Approach every phone call, e-mail, sales visit, meeting, presentation, and day you spend at the office not as a job but as a calling for which you will forever be known.

This is one of those traits that looking back I can identify times in my business that by far I was being on a mission.  When I would make all the calls on my list or knock on several doors more than when I thought I was done for the day.  My intension was so clear that I knew I would accomplish anything that I set my mind too.  I can see that this trait is something that is necessary for big results.  I can also see where in my businesses I am on a mission and where I am lacking.

Recently we have launched a new mentoring membership with our WOW Women of Wealth business.  This program is called Advance.  In order for this project to be a success, my business partners and I will have to be on a mission.  We will have to have absolute clarity that we will accomplish our goal and have our first program be successful based on our efforts.

When I look back over my career as an athlete and as a business owner I can identify several times in my life where the results were a direct result of the mission I was on in order to achieve.  I can look at my senior year in volleyball as one of the times I operated on a mission.  Although I was coming into a team that had won several conference championships, we were up against some tough competition.  We knew as a team, in order to claim the conference championship we would have to be on a mission, the five set match did not disappoint the fans , coaches or players.  However the laser focus it takes to accomplish something huge is the focus of being on a mission.  \

Our next success trait to explore is  Have a High Level of Motivation.  This is something that is required when you are on a mission.  All of these traits go hand and hand with each other; the goal for any business owner is to operate in as many of these traits as possible so that you too can have the success you desire.

Share a time in your business where you were on a mission?

Although I have pointed out a couple of times in my life where I was on a mission, I do not always have the motivation to operate at that high level.  That is why I have a coach, a mentor, someone that supports me in being successful.  Even champions need help and run their business and life with a coach, a mentor, a program to move me forward.  Every professional athlete on the planet has at least one coach or mentor that helps them succeed.  Do you?  Check out WOW Advance, A 90 day mentoring program, Developed especially for men and women who want reach their goals in their business and life.  WOW, Where Women Rise…we develop, unite and celebrate mankind to ignite the global advancement of women.
